Battir, a Palestinian village in the West Bank, is surrounded by ancient irrigation terraces, seven natural water springs, and a flourishing valley once referred to as Jerusalem’s “Basket of Vegetables.” This story is about the revitalization of Battir, made possible through traditional agriculture and community-based knowledge, as a force of Palestinian resistance against the occupation.
